What types of Dermal Fillers are used at Dermafina?

Hyaluronic acid fillers : A natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. When injected into the face, results are instant, adding volume to restore skin contours for a more youthful appearance.

Poly L-lactic acid Filler, known by the brand name Sculptra, doesn’t provide the kind of instant plumping that other fillers do. Instead, it gradually stimulates the body to regenerate its own collagen. Most require a series of 3-6 injection sessions, a month apart, for results lasting up to two years.

Which areas can be treated/helped with dermal fillers?

Corners of the mouth, lips and lip borders, folds around the nose and mouth, fine lines above the lips, smile lines.  Crow’s feet, under-eye hollows. Frown lines, folds between the brows. Jawline, chin, groove between the chin and the lower lip. Temples, sunken cheeks, cheekbone. Acne scars, irregularities and depressions, hands, earlobes and more…

Is the treatment painful?

More and more fillers now contain lidocaine, a light anesthetic that numbs the treated area. The doctor injects the product into the skin using a very fine needle to fill the wrinkle, crease or fold. It may be that a single injection is not sufficient if the wrinkle is very deep. In this case, we can make a second injection later. Side effects such as bruising can occur but are not common. You should avoid aspirin and NSAIDs such as Aleve and Advil for two weeks prior to treatment.

What are some side effects that may occur after treatment?

Patients can expect to return immediately to regular activities. Mild bruising, redness and swelling are common effects of treatments and subside quickly. You might as well have some pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days.
Side effects of dermal fillers are temporary and usually minor: mild redness, itching, bruising, swelling, small bumps and pain. These effects resolve within days after injection.

How long will the results last?

With Hyaluronic acid fillers, the results should last between six to twelve months although some patients have reported results lasting up to two years. The result after using Poly L-lactic acid ( Sculptra) should last up to two years.

What makes Dr.Krasny an expert injector?

Dr.Krasny has attended Dr. Mauricio de Maio courses who created MD Codes ™  which is a filler treatment developed to strategically combine different injection sites to achieve direct and indirect effects by giving volume and structure to the face. The objective was to achieve a non-surgical facelift without scars and downtime.

He as well trained at the prestigious Consultant Clinic in London for the LIPS training
